Manchester is an amazing and lively place in the northwest of England. There are always lots to see and do for families, friends and relatives coming from overseas, it’s a busy and fast city with some amazing buildings and extraordinary shows. This show is in the ‘My First Ballet’ series produced by the students from English National Ballet School and English National Ballet. With 200,000 people enjoying the first performance in 2012 it has now returned again in 2017 to bring love and enjoyment to everyone.
This show is about a girl tormented and scared by the harsh ways of her step-sisters and step-mother after her father sadly passed away, it reaches the end of the line one particular evening when her step family wouldn’t allow her to go to the ball, even though she finished all of her chores, yet her fairy godmother says she can go to the ball and transforms her into a magnificent princess sending her to dance, waltzing away to her heart’s content, but by the stroke of midnight she ran away leaving her shoe on the palace stairs, but the prince will not give up until he finds his princess.
With a narrator telling the story and the outstanding ballerinas dancing and gliding across the floor, it will take you into another world with the music playing, the glorious features of the theatre surrounding you; it will be like you’re in a fairytale yourself.
